Staying in Financial Balance

It is important, when aligning with greater wealth, to stay in balance with the money you do have - to manage it well, and not overspend. Sometimes ambitious people, in an attempt to feel abundant or live like the wealthy person they desire to become, go on spending sprees, often racking up large credit card and other debts in the process. Those who have some understanding of the role of thoughts in attracting wealth might even assume that there’s no need to keep on top of their expenditures, because, after all, ‘the universe will provide’.

And of course it always does - but in most cases a person who is spending money that they don’t have, is not in vibrational alignment with abundance, so the money that is being provided, can’t get in. If they were a match to more money, they would not need to put their purchases on credit in the first place!

In some such cases, the person is aware they’re not yet in alignment with more wealth, but is assuming that they will be by the time the bills come in. Unfortunately - and I speak from experience here! - this is often not the case. The knowledge of having created debt, and of needing to repay it, often creates even more resistance in a vibration that is already resistant to money to some degree. That is not to say that debt is necessarily bad in itself - it obviously depends on how you feel about it - but going into debt to compensate for an inadequate cashflow that is caused by vibrational resistance, generally doesn’t feel good, and just creates more resistance and more lack.

So the solution is obvious - whatever your current income and net worth, create a spending plan and stick to it, if you haven’t already. Just doing this creates a kind of vibrational solidity in the area of finances - a feeling of stability that is in itself attractive to abundance. I know from my own experience; I went from being someone who spent freely and didn’t bother to keep track of what I was doing, to being someone who now enjoys being an expert manager of my money - and the difference in how I feel around money, and in the results I attract, is phenomenal.

Abraham endorses this idea:
‘We would not spend the money before it is there. And that does not mean we would not have credit or loans. We mean we would not extend ourselves beyond our ability to satisfy it with dollars. Because your dollars are a very important part of your balance. And if you get yourself into a situation where there are more dollars being demanded than are being allowed, that is a very uncomfortable place to be, too.’

Some people might resist the idea of being ‘on a budget’, but being in control of your spending need not be a hardship. You can still allow yourself all the ‘treats’ you can comfortably afford - and if you know that they’re planned for, and that such purchases won’t leave you short or in the red, you’ll enjoy it much more.

And if, like many wealth-seekers, you have a love for the finer things in life, that maybe even the most generous spending plan won’t stretch to right now, you can still have fun and explore the world of luxury - by doing it on an inner level first.

As Abraham puts it, ‘What we would encourage you to do is take more satisfaction from the vision.’

Envisioning wealth in this way is not a second-rate compensation for lack of the ‘real thing’ - it is a powerful process that is in itself instrumental in allowing the wealth into your physical experience. So try playing the Prosperity Game, go on virtual shopping sprees, take the time to visualise, and research the big purchases you’ll make when the money manifests. Begin to bring them into your physical experience now, by collecting pictures and other details, whether on paper or as computer files. Take some time to peruse these each day, while you get into the feeling of having your desire now.

In this way you’ll align with whatever it is you want more quickly, and be less likely to feel deprived just because you’re delaying gratification a little by not rushing out to put it on the plastic. And this process of envisioning your desires, in combination with your stable vibration around the money you do have, will make you a powerful magnet to greater wealth.

And when that wealth does manifest, you’ll be in balance, and in full control of it, rather than just using your new spending power to create even bigger debts or larger-scale financial instability!
