‘Take the Money Out of the Equation’

In our society, if we want some physical item or an experience that is not free, we are accustomed to paying money for it. So much so that it can be difficult to conceive of having or experiencing these things if we can’t pay for them. In this way, money becomes a limiting factor - many people only allow themselves to desire that which they can afford (or can buy on credit) right now. And worse, some cannot imagine having much more money than they currently have, because they don’t believe that they are capable of earning more in their current job, and don’t believe they could do anything else. They might idly fantasise about a lottery win or some other big windfall, but don’t really believe that is going to happen. The result is that their dreams remain circumscribed by their existing financial reality.

Then there are the people who do have a strong desire for more, and believe that can get it. They set big goals, take big actions, and in many cases, allow a large flow of money into their experience, which in turn they use to buy their desired products and experiences. The money still plays a dominant role with these people too however, in that they focus on getting the money first, then the things they really desire.

There is certainly nothing wrong with exchanging money for things and experiences. That is, in large part, the way most societies on the planet are currently organised, and it’s a very flexible system. But if you want to develop a true wealth consciousness, it’s helpful to remember that making money really isn’t the main event. Why? Because focusing too much on money can - if you have resistance in this area - delay the manifestation of your desires, perhaps indefinitely. Instead, try keeping your focus on your desire, and forget your belief that you need to get money first.

In many cases, you will get what you want by exchanging money for it. But when visualising your desires, just get into the feeling place of having it now. Don’t focus on the money you think you’ll need to pay for it. You don’t need your resistance to money contaminating the vibration of your desire. Just forget about the money, and focus only on the end result.

Remember too that money might not even be necessary; money is not as important as it’s made out to be, and that there are many ways to allow your desires to manifest without exchanging money for them. You might win them, find them, be given them as a gift, manifest them out of thin air (yes, this is possible, although most people would never believe that, or allow themselves to do it), or any number of other ways. The point is not to figure out the ‘how’ - just to accept that money isn’t always a prerequisite for manifestation.

Abraham calls this ‘taking money out of the equation’. But if you are no longer focusing on getting the money to buy the things you want, what is the deciding factor? It is vibrational alignment. And to be in vibrational alignment, is to be in a state of pure positive expectation, where you are allowing wellbeing. In such a place of energy alignment, money, according to Abraham, becomes irrelevant:

‘You reach the place where your expectation of wellbeing is such that you begin to sense that, for you, it’s just a matter of pointing at something that you want. It’s not a question of if it will come. It’s a question of just choosing among all the possible things you want to bring into your life now.

Money becomes irrelevant. It’s how much room you have in your life, how much time you have to enjoy it, how much value it brings to you as you play with it.

In other words, it’s not about whether you can afford it or not because what comes to you is not about money. It’s about vibrational alignment, you see.

Yes, we can talk you into a place where you allow more money into your experience. But what we really want you to do is take money out of the equation. We want you to vibrate your way to such a fever pitch of expectation that all wonderful things flow to you as you deserve.’

And the irony is, that when you’re in that place of expecting and aligning with total wellbeing, and you no longer ‘need’ money in order to feel good, or even to bring your desires into your experience, money normally flows to you in abundance too!

So regardless of how much or little money you currently have, allow yourself to decide what you’d like to have in your experience, regardless of what it costs, or how much money you think you can ‘earn’. Don’t let money limit your dreams. And then, just focus on the dream itself - why you want it, how good it’ll feel to have it. Leapfrog the ‘getting the money to pay for it’ bit altogether in your imagination, and - especially if you’re a person with resistance around money - you’ll probably find that it manifests much more quickly as a result, whether it comes to you directly, or you attract the money to pay for it.

It can be a bit challenging to take the money out of the equation. We appear to live in a money-dominated world; most people are so used to thinking they need it for just about everything, and having their experience limited by its lack. But with a bit of practice, it gets easy - and the feeling of relief that comes from taking your focus away from a resistant area (not to mention the manifestations that come in the wake of that releasing process) makes the initial work of changing your focus well worth it! You don’t need money to pay for the feeling of having your desire now - and it’s the vibrational alignment which results from that feeling that will ultimately bring it to you.
